We meet

We met at the Bible Institute: Nate in 3rd year and Ami doing a gap year. We became friends over a shared love of coffee and pretty bad jokes.

Coffee, Runs, Sunrise, & Driving

26 January - 23 August 2021

Following on, our friendship grew, our friends whisper, and we enjoy spending time with each other.

First time asked out

24 August 2021

After some Frustrations, and then blazen hints from Ami, Nate formally asked: "Would you like to, maybe, get a coffee with me?
It's a date."
After some chats and a whole 2 days, She finally gave him an answer: "sorry I'm not ready…".
And so the friendship continued.

Second Date?

12 April 2022

Ami realised she did like this photography-loving, coffee-addicted, coding, Jesus-following guy. It was now her turn to pop the question: "Coffee date?"

This took place after a very long, quiet walk (instigated by Ami). Nate was very patient ;). Long story short, Nate replied: "You're actually more like a sister to me".

And so the friendship continued.

Get over me?

2 august 2022

Out of concern for Ami's Heart he didn't want her to hope for a relationship in vain and so he very politely and kindly told her "Get over me… it's never gonna happen..."

Nate Realises his mistake

3 August 2022

AMI left for her fish river canyon hike… and nate realized he maybe kinda missed her.
A lot.

Nate asks again

21 September 2022

Nate decides, after consultation (and people informing him of his stupidity), to ask AMI for coffee again. She says no. Again.

ACCIDENTAL DATE

4 October 2022

After cashing in a "burger debt" from AMI (and feeling bad for doing so), where friends bailed… Ami, laughing, asks: "Did we accidentally go on a date?" And so we Had.

WE DATE

8 october 2022

Basking in the pleasant surprise of our accidental date, and after consulting others, and lots of prayer, We decide that doing just one more date isn't worth it (we wanted more) And so our dating story begins.
